Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam celebrated Independence Day in Hanoi

On 17 August 2015, Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam celebrated the 68th year of India’s independency by a reception in Hanoi. To the ceremony, Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, represented the Government of Vietnam.


On 17 August 2015, Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam celebrated the 68th year of India’s independency by a reception in Hanoi. The ceremony was celebrated solemnly in national rites.

To the ceremony, Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, represented the Government of Vietnam. Ambassador of India to Viet Nam, Mrs. Preeti Saran and Deputy Minister Ha Kim Ngoc addressed speeches at the ceremony.

A hundred honorable invited guests including Vietnamese and Indian scholars, politicians, as well as representatives of Embassies in Hanoi attended the ceremony.

Centre for Indian Studies of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics accepted the invitation to the celebration from the Embassy of India in Vietnam. The delegation of Centre for Indian Studies to the ceremony and the party included Assoc. Prof. PhD. Le Van Toan along with leaders and specialists of the centre.
