Director of Centre for Indian Studies haired a meeting with Ms. Pramoda Patel, Director of Foreign Policy Research Institute, Editor-in-chief of Nam Today, India

In the afternoon of 29 June 2015, Assoc. Prof. PhD. Le Van Toan, Director of Centre for Indian studies chaired a meeting with Ms. Pramoda Patel, Director of Foreign Policy Research Institute, Editor-in-chief of Nam Today, India.


Assoc. Prof. PhD. Le Van Toan thanked Ms. Pramoda Patel for her visit to Centre for Indian studies of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and introduced about activities of the Centre since establishment and future activities of the Centre. The Director of the Centre marked: one of the main activities of the Centre is to enhance academic linkages in many aspects between Vietnam and India. Activities will be clearly determined for the purpose of creating a network of competent scholars and researchers from different institutes and colleges; building an interactive community in scientific activities, training, exchange between Vietnam and India, creating academic forums between Vietnam and India and related countries; building scientific information database, provide scientific information of India and Vietnam – India relation... Centre for Indian Studies hoped Ms. Patel, with her profession will help the Centre; two offices will cooperate for the process of elevating Vietnam – India relation to a new height.

Ms. Patel thanked friendly welcome of leaders of the Centre. She introduced main activities of Foreign Policy Research Institute and Nam Today, marked contributions of Nam Today in introducing images, country and people of Vietnam in India, especially their publishment of special journals about visits of leaders of Vietnam and India. The two offices concurred that the two offices should well cooperate to implement useful activities for the solidarity between Vietnam and India in the future.
