The paper will address India-Vietnam relations within the broad framework of the challenges of globalization that developing countries face and the strategies they can adopt to overcome those challenges, particularly in the context of trade and investment issues; and the new security challenges they face with a rising and assertive China that is prepared to violate international norms and conduct and even ready to use force to promote its so-called ‘core interests’.
