X, a division owned by Google's parent company Alphabet and one that deals in experimental technologies, is aiming to bring high-speed internet to parts of Andhra Pradesh using special boxes that beam light. The X, called Google X before 2015, is also working on Project Loon that uses balloons to beam internet. But for the project in Andhra, the company has signed a MoU with Andhra Pradesh government to setup developmental centre in Visakhapatnam and to create a high speed internet network that doesn't require special cabling.
