Chiều 15/09/2014, Tổng thống Cộng hòa Ấn Độ Pranab Mukherjee tới thăm Học viện Chính trị quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh và cùng Chủ tịch nước Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam Trương Tấn Sang cắt băng khánh thành Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Ấn Độ thuộc Học viện Chính trị Quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh. Nhân dịp này, Tổng thống Ấn Độ đã trao tặng Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Ấn Độ hơn 100 cuốn sách của Ấn Độ như một món quà nhân dịp khai trương.
